A year ago yesterday, I was waiting. I was waiting for news from the hospital where my Mum was having her hip replaced. I had recently suffered my third miscarriage and was waiting for my cycle to return so I could start another cycle of clomid and try again.
Little did I know at the time but I was already pregnant with Alice. How much has changed in a year.
A year ago we were still talking about buying a house one day, and now, here we are. Alice has just woken up and is gurgling in her basket. I am in the living room of our new house.
A year ago, Jessica was at preschool and we had no plans for her to start school until at least January…and as I write, she is eating her school lunch with her friends.
So much has changed in the last twenty weeks, let alone the last year.
We have had some hard times and worries and dark days, but how lucky and blessed we have been, and for that I am truly thankful.
